This is a planet I made from scratch in Photoshop - everything but the flare was done completely by hand. :)

That's one eye catching image, I can see why Apple chose it! Congrats on that too! Did you get anything special for letting them use it?

It's amazing what you have done by hand, but even the flare is different than many that you see generated by PS. Many times the flares don't fit into the rest of the image, but you have not had that problem in this case. :+fav:

Thanks for the comments - I didn't get anything for it but the recognition. :p I was just tickled that they'd even ask so the screencap was enough for my personal collection.

I really appreciate the feedback, this is one of (if not the very) my first planets but I still come back to it sometimes. Glad you like it as well! :)

You should make a tutorial for doing things like this in Paint Shop Pro/Photoshop. I would definitely use it!

I could try one sometime - sometimes it comes down to just messing with things until I see something I like though. :p On the other hand I have read tons of tutorials from other users here and they always help. It's great to see the way other people work and learn little stuff here and there.
