I was playing around in Photoshop yesterday and ended up with this - while I'm not sure what to think of it as a whole I think it's one more step towards where I'd like to be sometime as far as space-like art goes. The title was a last-minute decision though, I need title inspiration. :p

Enjoy!

Hey there! good job! Although I would like to understand what you have done to accomplish it. it looks like you bassically blended a cool texture with some lens flares... is that correct? I really like to know because I think this could be a very good method for making complex nebulae.

Cheers,
GB

Thanks for the comments - that's basically what I did to get the glowing effects. Took a lot of playing and tweaking but it helped me learn more about it at the time. :)

I've thought about trying this method again sometime but I'm not 100% sure it will ever beas good as making them by hand. Fun stuff to toy with though. ;)

I love it... It's like a collab of galaxies. Unusual.

For the title; There is an album I like a lot from Omar Faruk Tekbilek (world, mystic, new age style) called: Fire Dance... That can be a nice title for this.

Lol, I appreciate the support! I'm learning and one day perhaps I'll have a few pieces that compare to what you've come up with. ;)

That's what I was saying, you already have pieces that are compared to mine and even better. I just had a quick glance at your gallery. I loved your works such as "The Destruction of the moon", "The Eclipse", "Blue Dawn" and "Red Rift"; all amazing pieces. You are further ahead than me for a beginner. I also checked your photography, very professional. Do not take this as a compliment but if you keep on going like this, I'll be hearing a lot of good things about you in the near future.

Just keep up the good work.

cool! i think you should try putting this as a layer on top of a planet, and play around with it, cos to me it looks like a planet getting hit by meteors! or maybe a planet under war... it looks awesome ^^
