Excogitation by DVeditor Excogitation by DVeditor
This word means "to think or consider something carefully" which I suppose is sort of backwards for this because I made it around 4 am. :p This was a render I had going on an older machine so I decided to do something with it rather than let it sit.

Really trying to figure out what I'd like to do with terraspace images and I think this is a step in the right direction at least. If you have any suggestions or comments please let me know!

Mountain created in Terragen, the rest was done in Photoshop.

Enjoy!

I love how delicate this piece looks...there's a PLANET in the background, and it looks as fragile as a bubble...really beautiful!

yeah you did great and just learning terraspace is the right direction for you.

I still need to learn how to make planets.
I only use the ones others make available.

Planets are actually some of the easier parts for me - I usually had too many ideas to pick from and that's what made it hard to narrow them down. :p

Maybe you could do a tutorial on how you make planets?

Hmm, I'll have to give that some thought. There are so many out there it'd be hard to be completely original...but hey that's the fun part! Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Your welcome.
Me thinks the original part would be how YOU choose what settings you like .. etc.
Every one has their thing they do best/prefer.

Great mountain, the snow is in all the right places. And the colours and lighting on the planet perfectly match it too !

Wow! I thought sure you were doing the planets in TG2, how in the world did you get planets rendered like that in photoshop?? Your talent is utterly amazing.

Yeah I haven't really played with the TG2 planets all that much - I need to get back into that program and do it though. Thanks for the visit and comments!

I like this, its nice and simple, all the other terraspace you see these days is way too cluttered and overworked, you've achieved a nice balance here :)

I agree with 19-10, the render needs a little more work on the surface map and maybe a little bit on the lighting, but you are definetly right that this is going in the right direction. :aww: Keep it up, this looks great. The planet is sweet and I love the subtle starfield

Starfield is subtle and nice, it works. Detail on the planet is good as well. Terragen render is a bit dull and this pieces just misses something eyecatching in general. There's nothing that really makes me go 'wow'
Nice work though! Keep it up:)
